You're an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA), and you work with an Occupational Therapist to help people get stronger, more independent, and back to doing what they love. This is a hands on role in Lexington, KY where you'll carry out treatment plans, teach adaptive techniques, and track progress. It's clinical work, but it's also real connection with patients and their families.

What You'll Actually Do

  • Carry out treatment plans the Occupational Therapist designs; that means a mix of therapeutic exercises, activities of daily living (ADL) training, and other interventions.
  • Work directly with patients on exercises, activities, and adaptive techniques to improve their functional abilities and independence.
  • Keep detailed, current documentation on how patients are responding to therapy. You'll note their progress and report everything back to the supervising OT.
  • Teach patients and their families about home exercises, adaptive techniques, and strategies to keep that progress going after sessions end.
  • Collaborate with the whole interdisciplinary team to make sure care is comprehensive and nothing gets missed.
  • Help the Occupational Therapist evaluate patient needs and progress by offering your own observations and insights.
  • Other duties as they come up ; it's a team environment, so you pitch in.

What You Need

  • A degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
  • A current, valid state OTA license or certification ; and you have to keep it current.
  • 0 to 1 years of experience. That's right, this works for new grads too.
  • Current CPR certification is preferred but not required.

Schedule & Location

This role is based at The Willows at Fritz Farm in Lexington, KY. Specific shift details will come up during the interview process.
