About This Role
The Gist
Charlie Health is looking for a Mental Health Therapist to work with adolescents and young adults through remote telehealth in Lebeau, LA. This is a part time 1099 role. You'll be facilitating group therapy sessions and collaborating with a clinical team. We need someone with a master's degree in mental health and real experience running groups.
What You'll Actually Do
This isn't a solo therapy role. You're part of a care team, and the work focuses heavily on group facilitation. Here's what that looks like day to day:
- Complete all Onboarding requirements within 2 weeks of your start date
- Meet with your assigned Group Quality Supervisor or Group Quality Director at least once a month for a required check in
- Respond to emails and Slack messages promptly, within 48 hours
- Review the curriculum for your assigned group before it starts
- Arrive about 10 minutes early to your scheduled group time and facilitate the full hour
- Run groups using Charlie Health's best practices and the most current curriculum we provide
- Facilitate groups across different age groups and cohorts, including Integrative curriculum, Support Staffing, and Wellness Hour as needed
- Get clients engaged and build group cohesion, encouraging them to participate and keep their cameras on
- Follow all operational policies and procedures as outlined in Charlie Health best practices
- Attend collaborative Treatment Team meetings on Tuesdays and Group Supervision every other Friday with your supervisor, peers, and clinical leadership
- Work respectfully with the whole care team: Primary Therapists, Care Experience Specialists, and Care Coaches
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, staff, families, agencies, and referents
- Monitor your treatment notes and make sure they're completed within 24 hours, meeting DHCS and The Joint Commission standards
- Maintain professional ethics, including appropriate boundaries and confidentiality
- Other duties as they come up
Schedule Details
You need to be available during late afternoons and evenings on weekdays. Specifically, that's 3 8pm MT on Monday through Thursday. You also need to be available on Saturdays to match when our adolescent and young adult clients can meet.
