The skills you need
First thing: you must have a current Licensed Veterinary Technician license for the state of Nevada.
We need someone proficient in core technical skills. That includes venipuncture and placing IV catheters, administering injections, processing labs in house (including microscopic evaluation), and managing anesthetic induction and monitoring.
Beyond the license, we're looking for a certain approach. You communicate well, whether it's with a worried pet owner or a teammate. You collaborate easily and bring a positive, proactive attitude to your work. This role fits both seasoned LVTs and those early in their career ready to dive in.
