Job Overview

This Telemetry RN position is for a nurse who thrives on monitoring and interpreting cardiac rhythms. Duties & Responsibilities

  • Monitor, interpret, and document cardiac rhythms for a dedicated patient assignment.

  • Administer cardiac medications, titrating drips like amiodarone or heparin based on protocol and physician orders.
  • Educate patients and their families on heart conditions, post procedure care, and discharge plans.
  • Collaborate closely with monitor technicians to ensure accurate surveillance and timely alerts.

Requirements

  • A current, unencumbered RN license for the state of Las Vegas, NV.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory from day one.
  • At least one year of recent experience in telemetry, step down, or a related acute care setting is preferred.
  • You need a solid grasp of EKG interpretation; recognizing everything from sinus bradycardia to ventricular tachycardia isn't just helpful, it's expected.
  • The job involves prolonged standing, walking, and the ability to respond quickly to alarms and emergencies.
