About This Role
Alright, let's talk about this sales role. It's not about pushing boxes; it's about building a practice. You'd be the face of KARL STORZ for surgical teams across Las Vegas, NV, working with everything from scopes to full operating room integration systems.
What you'd do
Your main job is growing our business. That means getting out there and talking to people; surgeons, nurses, supply chain managers; in hospitals, surgery centers, and clinics. You're not just taking orders; you're solving problems and finding new ways we can help.
- Hit your annual sales targets and expand our presence in the territory.
- The relationship part is huge. You'll build trust with clinical staff and administrative decision makers alike.
- A big piece is education. You'll provide training after the sale to make sure our equipment is used effectively.
- You'll spot new opportunities, give product demos, and keep an eye on what competitors are up to.
- There's planning involved, like maintaining customer records and developing your annual sales strategy.
- You'll manage sales samples and occasionally help train new folks joining the team.
- And of course, there are meetings, trainings, and conventions to attend, plus reports and expenses to submit.
What you need to bring
We need someone who knows how to sell in a complex environment. A bachelor's degree is great, but we'll also consider 4 to 6 years of solid B2B sales experience instead. You've got to have a history of not just meeting but beating your sales goals.
- You need to be organized and good at presenting ideas clearly. Juggling multiple priorities is part of the day.
- The products are technical, so you have to be able to grasp how they work and why they matter in surgery.
- The job requires some physical activity; you should be able to lift up to 35 pounds (we'll help when we can).
- This is a field based role covering Las Vegas, NV. You must live in or very near that area already.
- Travel is basically the job. Be ready for it; up to 100% within your territory.
- If you've worked with KARL STORZ products before, that's a definite advantage for us.
The practical stuff
This is a full time position supporting the greater Las Vegas, NV area. You've got to be based there now. The company provides a car allowance for all that travel you'll be doing.
