PACU RN

The Role

Summerlin Hospital, part of The Valley Health System, is a 496 bed facility with a busy maternity department averaging 450 deliveries a month, a Children's Medical Center that includes a NICU, a pediatric ICU, and a separate pediatric ER, plus advanced cardiovascular care, surgical services, women's health, and oncology care. It's an accredited Chest Pain with PCI facility and a Primary Stroke Center, with multiple awards from the American Heart Association Get with the Guidelines program. We're looking for a PACU RN who shares our vision: patient centered care backed by evidence based practice and a collaborative approach.

You'll provide safe, competent nursing care following facility policies, standards, and philosophy. You'll offer professional leadership and support to the healthcare team, oversee and guide employees under your supervision, and demonstrate Service Excellence standards at all times. The concept of Patient Centered Care is the foundation for all nursing here.

What You'll Need

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing. You'll also need to complete a specialty course or equivalent within 6 months of hire. A BSN is preferred.
• One year of acute care experience, or successful completion of an approved specialty course within 6 months of hire.
• A current RN license in the State of Nevada.
• Current BLS Certification.
• Current ACLS Certification for adult patients.
• Current PALS Certification for pediatric patients or current NRP Certification for neonatal patients, as required by the department.
• Any other certification required by the facility, specialty, or department.
• You must successfully pass any pre employment assessments required by the facility.

A note for new graduates: An RN graduate is someone who has completed a nursing program and is eligible for the NCLEX. They work directly under the supervision of the Charge Nurse or RN designee. The Nevada State Board of Nursing must grant an interim RN license.
