What you'll do as an MRI Technologist at MountainView Hospital

This is a PRN role in Las Vegas, NV for someone who can walk into a shift and keep things moving. You'll operate the MRI scanners to produce images that physicians use to diagnose and treat pathologies. Every day looks a little different, but the core stays the same: you perform procedures that demonstrate sectional anatomic images for interpretation by a licensed practitioner.

You'll exercise professional judgment in everything you do and maintain a demeanor that lines up with medical ethics. That means you're thinking on your feet, adjusting protocols when needed, and keeping patient care at the center. You need to be proficient with non imaging procedures and skills for all age groups we serve ; from kids to older adults ; because you never know who's coming through the door next.

The work flows fast, so procedures have to be performed efficiently and according to the protocol for radiologic interpretation. You might need to lift patients or help them onto and off the exam table to get them positioned properly. The expectation is that you handle MRI procedures at a technical level that doesn't require direct supervision, which keeps things on schedule without any delays caused by lack of expertise.

What you need to bring

Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology Program
American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) certification ; required
American Registry of Radiologic Technology (MRI) certification, or be registry eligible
Current state licensure as a Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) ; required
1 3 years of experience in MRI ; preferred, not required
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification ; required

The hourly wage estimate for this PRN role is $47.36 to $71.00 per hour in Las Vegas, NV. That number reflects what typical candidates earn at hire. What actually lands on your check depends on your specific skills, how many years of experience you've got, and how your background compares to other people already working here. Most new hires come in below the midpoint of the range.
