About This Role
What You'll Do
You will provide safe, competent nursing care for patients at Summerlin Hospital Medical Center ; a 496 bed hospital with a busy maternity department that averages about 450 deliveries each month. Your practice will be guided by Patient Centered Care. You'll also provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team, overseeing and guiding employees under your supervision. The Service Excellence standards are something you'll demonstrate in everything you do.
Your Work Environment
Summerlin Hospital is an accredited Chest Pain with PCI facility and a Primary Stroke Center. It has received multiple awards from the American Heart Association Get with the Guidelines program. The hospital features emergency services, a Children's Medical Center with a NICU, a pediatric ICU and a separate pediatric ER, along with advanced cardiovascular care, surgical services, women's health, and oncology care. The Valley Health System operates six hospitals across Las Vegas and Southern Nevada and is owned by a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc. What You Need
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing. A BSN is preferred.
- One year of full time experience in an acute care setting, or three years of part time experience, is preferred.
- A current RN license in the state of Nevada.
- Current BLS certification.
- Current PALS certification (for pediatric patients) or current NRP certification (for neonatal patients) as required by your department. Other certifications may be required by the facility, specialty, or department.
- You must successfully pass any pre employment assessments required by the facility.
