Centennial Hills Hospital Medical Center is a 336 bed facility that's part of the seven hospital Valley Health System serving the Northwest Las Vegas community. They provide a wide range of medical services including comprehensive women's services, digital mammography, gynecologic care and surgery, maternity services with labor and delivery, recovery rooms, antepartum and postpartum care, a newborn nursery, and a Level III NICU. The hospital was the first tobacco free campus in Nevada and got recognized by U.S. News & World Report as a High Performing Hospital for Heart Failure, Stroke and Maternity Care for 2022 2023.

What You'll Do
You'll direct the facility's Infection Prevention and Control programs. That means assessing regulatory compliance and ongoing IP readiness, overseeing clinical IP programs, and promoting patient safety along the way.
You'll assess reporting compliance with CMS, state and local reporting agencies, and the CDC's National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) standard surveillance definitions. You'll also oversee IP surveillance and the collection, analysis, and reporting of IP data.
Education and Experience
Here's what you'll need:
- A Master's degree in Nursing, Education, Epidemiology, Public Health, clinical Microbiology, or another health related science
- Three to five years of clinical experience in a health related field
- Two years of experience in Infection Prevention or epidemiology in a leadership role
Licenses and Certifications
- Current State of Nevada license in Nursing, Medical Laboratory Sciences, or another related health science (if applicable)
- Current national certification in Infection Control (CIC)
Technical and Other Skills
You need to be proficient with Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and statistical analysis programs. Strong overall computer skills are expected. You'll also need to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served in your assigned unit or department. Expert knowledge of the National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) is required.
