About This Role
Alright, let's get straight to it. We're a workers' compensation defense firm based in Southern California that's growing, and we need another attorney. This is a fully remote position.
The Work
You'll handle a full caseload from start to finish. That means you're the one advising clients, developing the strategy for their case, and then seeing it through.
- Represent clients in court, at mediations, and in administrative hearings.
- Your day involves drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, and settlement agreements.
- Negotiating settlements is a core part of the job.
- We expect thorough legal research and analysis to build strong cases and stay current.
- You'll collaborate with other attorneys here on strategy and client representation.
- A big part of success is managing client relationships and their expectations clearly.
What You Need to Bring
We're looking for someone who's done this before and can run with it. Here are the specifics.
- A Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school is required.
- You must have at least five years of experience as an attorney.
- All of that experience needs to be in workers' compensation defense and civil litigation.
- You have to be admitted to the state bar and in good standing.
- We need to see proven skill in legal writing and research; you'll be doing a lot of both.
- A history of successfully representing clients in court proceedings is non negotiable.
- Strong negotiation skills are essential.
- The ability to manage multiple cases at once without dropping details is key.
- You should be proficient with standard legal research software and applications.
The Details
The salary range for this role is $100,000 to $250,000 per year. The offer depends on your specific experience level within those five plus years we're looking for. It's a full time position that's completely remote. We offer a solid benefits package; health insurance, paid time off, that sort of thing; which we can discuss in detail during the interview process.
