About This Role
What you'll actually do
You're a Cath Lab RN who wants to work with a health system that's been growing for over 40 years. The Valley Health System started with one hospital in 1979 and now serves more than two million people across Southern Nevada. You'd be providing safe, competent nursing care for patients in the cath lab ; following facility policies, standards, and our philosophy of Patient Centered Care. You'll also provide professional leadership and support to your healthcare team, oversee and guide the employees under your supervision, and demonstrate Service Excellence standards every shift.
Where you'd work
This role is at Las Vegas, NV, but here's the thing ; you'll need to sign an agreement to float to at least three Valley Health System facilities. That means you could move between Valley Hospital Medical Center, Centennial Hills Hospital Medical Center, Spring Valley Hospital Medical Center, Summerlin Hospital Medical Center, Henderson Hospital, Valley Health Specialty Hospital, or our newest facility West Henderson Hospital.
What you need to bring
- A nursing degree from an accredited school of Nursing ; BSN is preferred but not required
- Completion of a specialty course (or equivalent) within 6 months of hire
- Two years of acute Cath lab care experience OR successful completion of an approved specialty course within 6 months of hire
- A current RN license in the State of Nevada
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification (for adult patients)
- Current PALS certification (for pediatric patients) or current NRP certification (for neonatal patients) ; whichever your department requires
- An approved Crisis Management Course certification
- Any other certifications required by the facility or department
- Must pass any pre employment assessments the facility requires
