The Role in a Nutshell

This isn't some entry level gig. We're talking about a permanent CNC Vertical Turning Machinist position on second shift. You'd be working with DMG and Dmg Mori Seiki machines ; the kind of equipment that separates the people who know their stuff from everyone else. Based out of Las Vegas, NV, you'd join a manufacturing team that's been around for decades and isn't going anywhere.

What You'll Actually Do

• Set up, run, and maintain CNC Vertical Turning lathes ; specifically DMG and Dmg Mori Seiki models ; and keep them dialed in.
• Read blueprints and technical drawings that aren't exactly simple; you'll need to know what you're looking at.
• Apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) to make sure every part comes out right.
• Use micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring tools to check your work. No guessing.
• Figure out why a machine is acting up or a process is off, then fix it.
• Work with the production crew to hit deadlines without sacrificing quality.
• Follow safety rules and keep your area clean. Non negotiable.
• Keep finding better ways to do things ; more efficient, more productive, same high standard.

What You Need to Bring

• At least five years of experience as a CNC Vertical Turning Machinist in manufacturing. No shortcuts.
• Real proficiency with DMG and Dmg Mori Seiki machines. Not just familiarity ; you can run them.
• A solid handle on GD&T and how to apply it in a production environment.
• Comfortable using micrometers, calipers, and similar precision tools to verify dimensions.
• Able to read complex blueprints and technical drawings. That's table stakes.
• Good at solving problems fast ; when something goes wrong, you don't freeze.
• Can communicate and work well with a team. Different backgrounds, same goal.
• A strong commitment to safety. You know the standards and you stick to them.
• High school diploma or equivalent. A degree or certification in a related field helps, but it's not required.

Pay and Schedule

The pay range is $30 to $40 per hour. This is a second shift role, so nights and evenings are where you'll be. It's a permanent position, not temp or contract.
