About This Role
The Job
Lancaster Rehabilitation Hospital needs a Registered Nurse for nights. Part time. This is a rehabilitation role, not a standard med surg floor.
You'll work in a modern inpatient rehab environment with strong leadership and a collaborative team. The nurse to patient ratios here are set up so you can actually give each patient real attention. It's a 59 bed hospital backed by Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health and Lifepoint Rehabilitation. The patients are recovering from things like stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, neurological disorders, orthopedic conditions, amputations, and complex medical conditions.
What You'll Do

- Administer medications safely and accurately based on each patient's age and clinical condition. You'll follow proper procedures to minimize any chance of medication errors.
- Help with initial patient assessments and reassessments, following policy every time.
- Figure out and carry out the right rehabilitation nursing interventions for each person.
- Complete timely and accurate Quality Improvement (QI) assessments under RN supervision.
- Deliver care based on how each patient responds to treatment, and update the interdisciplinary plan as needed.
- Assess and reassess pain levels, use appropriate pain management techniques, and educate both patients and their families about it.
- Do every patient care task in a way that promotes safety and cuts down on medical errors.
- Create and carry out individualized teaching plans based on what each patient and family needs to learn.
- Other duties as they come up.
