About This Role

Alright, let's talk about this job. It's with Heidelberg Materials, a major building materials supplier. They need someone in Lake Charles, LA to back up their sales team and keep things running smoothly on the admin side.

The Work

You're the support system for the sales folks. That means handling quotes, putting together sales contracts, and making sure all the details are right. You'll coordinate customer orders from start to finish, tracking them to make sure deliveries happen when they're supposed to.

A big part of it is keeping everything organized. You'll maintain records in their sales and logistics systems. And you'll be a point of contact for customers, so you've got to be professional and precise.

What You Need to Bring

You have to be organized. Like, really organized. This role juggles a lot of moving parts at once.

  • Clear communication is non negotiable; you're talking with the team and customers all day.
  • You're comfortable with Microsoft Office and can figure out ERP or CRM systems without much hand holding.
  • An eye for detail is critical; typos in a quote or an order number can cause real problems.
  • You can work on your own just fine but also mesh with the team when needed. The pace is quick and it's all about the customer.

Your Background

  • You've done this kind of work before: administrative support, sales coordination, or customer service.
  • You know how to manage an order from start to finish and keep the paperwork perfect.
  • Experience with digital tools like ERP or order management systems is a must.
  • You can follow processes and policies to the letter while still understanding what the customer actually needs.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Some additional education in business or administration is a nice bonus.

The Physical Side & Work Environment

It's mostly desk work. You'll be at a computer for long stretches. Sometimes you might lift documents or office supplies up to 25 pounds.

The job is based in an office where you'll interact daily with sales, logistics, and customer service teams. You're dealing with time sensitive info, so while it's not a factory floor, it's definitely not slow.

Pay & Benefits

The pay rate starts at $26 per hour ($51,580 - $63,613 annually).
