Job Overview
This is an Industrial Maintenance Technician position based in Knoxville, TN. You'll handle the upkeep and repair of industrial equipment, keeping production lines moving. It's a hands on role where you solve problems before they cause downtime.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on machinery according to established schedules.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems when breakdowns occur.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and schematics to complete repairs.
- Use diagnostic tools to identify issues with motors, conveyors, and PLCs.
- Document all maintenance work performed in the facility's log system.
- Collaborate with operators to understand machine performance and quirks.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED is required; a technical certification is a big plus.
- You need at least two years of experience maintaining industrial equipment.
- Practical knowledge of electrical systems up to 480V AC and basic hydraulics is essential.
- The job involves lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for long periods, and working in various plant conditions.
- A valid driver's license and your own reliable transportation are necessary for getting to Knoxville, TN.
