About This Role
Alright, let's talk about this job. I'm putting together a listing for a Recruiter at Addus HomeCare in Knoxville, TN. It's an office job, full time hours, and it's way more than just sorting resumes. You're the engine that keeps a caregiving team running.
The Role
You'll be based at 4707 Papermill Drive Ste 100, Knoxville, TN 37909. Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. It's an in office position. There's also a rotating on call responsibility you'll share with the team.
Your main focus is making sure we have enough great caregivers to provide care for our clients. That means you're managing the whole hiring process from start to finish. You'll work closely with the Agency Director and Regional Director to figure out what we need staffing wise.
- Source and recruit caregivers, thinking ahead about what we'll need next week or next month.
- Run the full cycle: find people, interview them, make offers, and get them onboarded.
- Handle all the pre employment steps like background checks, reference calls, and any required screenings.
- You'll conduct new hire orientations, so you're often the first friendly face people meet here.
- Keeping employee files active and in compliance is a big part of it; that means agency rules, state regulations, federal laws; the whole stack.
- A chunk of your time involves monitoring and auditing those files to make sure we're always ready for any inspection or review.
- You'll also provide support for branch phone coverage, answering calls from caregivers, applicants, and clients when needed.
- And you've got to keep an eye on what's happening locally; what other companies are doing, what the job market looks like around here.
The phones can get busy. You'll jump in to help answer them. It's that kind of place where everyone pitches in to keep things moving for our clients and caregivers.
What You Need to Bring
A High School Diploma or GED is required. We need at least one year of recruiting experience. If you've done that in home care or healthcare before? Even better.
You should be comfortable in an office setting that has energy and can get pretty busy. Being organized isn't just a nice to have; you'll be juggling interviews, paperwork, phone calls, and audits all at once sometimes.
We need someone who’s proficient with Microsoft Office tools. You have to follow through on tasks with a sense of professionalism and timeliness. A mindset that puts people first makes all the difference here.
