Ultrasound Technologist

About This Role

What You'll Do

You'll work full time day shift within the radiology department performing ultrasound exams as part of direct patient care. In an imaging center or convenient care setting, you might also step in to help with other modalities and take on duties assigned outside your core role. It's a hands on environment where you're expected to complete CAP Level II requirements ; that means finishing a project that aligns with 2 of our 5 core values within your own department.

You'll contribute to the professional development of clinical staff or students at the bedside. Expect to take part in performance improvement activities or evidence based practice changes. Showing initiative to boost patient satisfaction at the care setting is part of the job, and you'll participate in innovative projects, problem solving, and educating others at the unit level. You'll also demonstrate initiative around growth efforts or conserving resources ; people, money, time, or supplies ; in both unit and patient care processes.

What You Need

  • 1 year of applicable experience
  • Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross
  • RDMS Certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography
  • Reg Vascular Technologist certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography
