Team Lead

The Role

Hamilton Plumbing, Heating, A/C, Rooter is the largest residential HVAC, plumbing, and electrical services provider in the U.S., with more than 6,000 professionals nationwide. We've been at this for over 45 years, and we're looking for someone to lead residential excavation jobs in Kansas City, MO.

This isn't a desk job. You'll be running the show on site for sewer, water, and gas line repairs and installations. It's a hands on leadership gig where you operate heavy equipment, manage a dig crew, and make sure every job is done safely and right.

What You'll Actually Do

• Operate backhoes and excavation equipment for sewer, water, and gas line repairs and new installations
• Break and remove concrete, then prep job sites for digging
• Work alongside plumbing technicians during on site repairs and installations
• Remove old sewer lines and verify proper flow before calling a job complete
• Backfill excavated areas and restore job sites, including cleanup and seeding if needed
• Lead the dig crew on site, making sure work matches the scope and quality standards
• Get customer approval for work you've done
• Keep the service vehicle and equipment fueled, stocked, and maintained
• Haul equipment, materials, and tools while tracking usage and inventory
• Fill out job paperwork and handle customer payments when it comes up

What You Need to Bring

• 3 to 5 years of sewer and water line repair and new installation experience
• A valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is preferred but not required
• Real communication and customer service skills ; you'll talk with homeowners daily
• The ability to work safely, efficiently, and independently on active job sites
• Leadership experience managing crews is a strong plus
• You're dependable, motivated, and willing to put in long hours and weekends ; that's a big plus

Pay & Benefits

Pay ranges from $90,000 to $150,000 a year. Here's what else you get:
