Security Officer

The Work

You'll be the eyes on the ground. Your shift is active; you're patrolling the entire time in environments that could include retail spaces, airports, or detention centers. It's physical work that requires constant awareness.

• Conduct patrols of sensitive areas to identify any suspicious activity.
• Verify identities and manage access to secure locations.
• Your reaction time matters; responding to threats or incidents is a core part of the job.
• Check that alarm systems and surveillance cameras are operational.
• Write detailed reports on incidents and the actions you took.
• Respond to alarm activations and perform immediate on site checks.
• Work directly with law enforcement when serious situations occur.
• The bottom line is ensuring the safety of people and property.

What You Need to Bring

A few things aren't negotiable. You must be legally authorized to work in the United States and at least 21 years old. A valid driver's license is required. We'll need to see proof of a High School Diploma or GED.

• You have to pass an extensive screening process we run after making an offer. That includes a background check and a drug test.
• The ability to stand and walk for your entire shift is essential; there's no sitting around.
• A First Aid certification is a big plus.
• If you've got experience in Security, Military, or Law Enforcement, that's even better.
• You must hold any state required security license for Kansas City, MO.

The Details & What We Provide
