Retail Sales Associate

Hamilton's been around for over 45 years, and we've grown into the biggest residential service company in the country. We're talking about thousands of technicians across all 50 states. Right now, we need someone to be our face inside a home improvement store in Kansas City, MO.

The Role

You'll be stationed inside a major retail store. Your main job is simple: talk to people. You'll chat with shoppers about their homes; specifically their heating, cooling, and air quality. It's not about making a hard sell on the spot; it's about having a genuine conversation and booking free, no obligation consultations for our expert Comfort Advisors to handle later.

• Engage customers in a friendly way about HVAC upgrades and energy efficiency.

• You're representing a trusted national brand, so a clean, professional look is part of it.

What You Need

Honestly, you don't need any HVAC experience. We'll teach you what you need to know. What we can't teach is personality.

• A willingness to walk up and start conversations with strangers is the biggest thing.
• A friendly and outgoing demeanor helps a ton; any past sales experience is a bonus.
• You've got to be cool standing and walking around the store for your whole shift, which can be up to 6 hours.
• You need your own reliable ride to get to and from your assigned store location.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Your schedule needs to include weekends; that's when the stores are busiest. Some holiday work is also required.
• You must be able to make it to our weekly team meetings at the local office.
• Final offer depends on passing a standard background check.

Schedule & Pay

The shift for this opening runs from 10 AM to 5 PM, Wednesday through Sunday. We have both part time and full time spots available on this schedule.

The pay starts at $20 an hour. On top of that, you earn commission for every consultation you book. When you combine them, most folks in this role average between $20 and $30 an hour total. You get paid every week via direct deposit.
