Registered Nurse

We're offering a $10,000 sign on bonus for experienced RNs. It's for eligible candidates and can't be combined with other bonuses or HCA loans and scholarships.

What you'll do here

You'll deliver high quality, patient centered care that meets the department's needs and follows state and specialty practice standards. You're collaborating with providers and the care team to give personalized, compassionate care using models like "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage." And you're an advocate for patients and their families.

• Assess each patient on admission and every shift; report changes in status right away.
• Perform procedures and monitoring as ordered by providers.
• Document all care thoroughly in the patient's medical record.
• Administer medications, monitor the response, and take action if there's an unintended reaction.
• Respond quickly to patient requests. Anticipate their needs before they have to ask.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, meds, side effects, and follow up. You'll translate complex medical info so it makes sense to them.

The specifics we need

• A Registered Nurse license is required.
• A Registered Nurse Diploma is required.
• You must obtain Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within your first 30 days on the job.
• No travel is required for this role.
• No prior experience is required; we welcome new grads.

Research Medical Center is a 585+ bed hospital in Kansas City, MO. We offer a wide range of services: women's health with obstetrics and fertility, an emergency room, a trauma center, a Stroke Center, walk in clinics, and orthopedics at three area locations. Our specialty areas include a Chest Pain Center, Level I Trauma Center, Breast Care Center, Cardiovascular Rehab Programs, and a Primary Stroke Center. We're part of HCA Midwest Health's network of 10 hospitals around Kansas City. Research Psychiatric Center is our 95+ bed facility providing acute inpatient care, day treatment programs, and community based services.
