The Role

You'd be working on the psychiatric adult unit at Research Psychiatric Center in Kansas City, MO. This is a 95+ bed facility focused on acute inpatient and day treatment services.

Your core job is to coordinate and deliver high quality, patient centered care. You'll use an established nursing model: Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage. That means you're assessing patient condition during admission and every shift, performing procedures as ordered, documenting everything thoroughly in the medical record, and responding promptly to patient needs. A big part of it is managing quality by collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to build a holistic treatment plan that supports recovery. You also help manage the continuation of care by acting as the interface between healthcare providers and community support systems.

What You Need to Have

• A Registered Nurse Diploma.
• An active Registered Nurse license.
• You need to obtain Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of your start date.
