What You'll Be Doing
This is an outside sales role for aftermarket truck and trailer parts in Kansas City, MO. You'll work a designated territory, and your main job is to promote and sell heavy duty truck and trailer parts to customers. That means keeping existing accounts strong, growing them where you can, and finding new ones.
- Maintain and increase sales with current customers in your assigned territory while also hunting down new accounts
- Grow strategic accounts at the local level; these are the relationships that matter most
- Put together sales plans and goals, then execute on them
- Stay sharp on your selling skills plus technical and product knowledge for everything TruckPro sells, services, or processes
- Build long term relationships with both existing clients and new ones you bring in
- Keep up with industry trends, what customers need right now, and what competitors are doing
- Travel daily within your market to meet with customers face to face
- Tackle other duties as they come up ; it's a hands on job
Schedule & Compensation
The schedule runs Monday through Friday. An occasional Saturday store support shift might pop up ; that's a half day from 8am to 12pm. Your pay comes as an annual base salary plus a sales incentive plan. There's also a company sales incentive contest.

What You Need for This Job
Candidates who succeed here usually have at least 3 years of outside sales or account management experience under their belt. Heavy duty truck and trailer parts knowledge is non negotiable ; you need real experience with that. You should be comfortable using CRM tools like Salesforce or similar systems. Understanding Sales Force Effectiveness (SFE) principles matters too.
A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required because this job involves daily travel. Communication skills ; both oral and written ; have to be solid. And you need a genuine customer service orientation paired with a passion for prospecting new business while developing existing relationships.

The job asks you to walk for extended periods, stand on various surfaces for long stretches, lift moderate weight occasionally (up to 50+ pounds), reach, bend, drive long distances regularly. Moving from area to area carrying things like laptops papers books luggage small to large truck parts driving an automobile daily ; it all comes with the territory.
