We're offering a $20,000 sign on bonus for experienced RNs. This is for eligible candidates and can't be combined with other bonuses or HCA loans and scholarships.

What You'll Do

You'll be the primary RN in the operating room. Your shift starts with evaluating patients before surgery and providing education to them and their families about the procedure and what to expect. You're responsible for patient prep, which includes IV therapy, preoperative meds, and verifying the surgical site.

A big part of your day involves participating in our safety protocols. That means being part of the team briefing, time out, and debriefing according to hospital policy. You need to recognize emergencies quickly and respond appropriately.

• Deliver high quality, patient centered care while managing evidence based practices.
• Apply the nursing process, use critical thinking skills, and provide leadership to deliver safe care independently.
• Assess patient condition when they arrive, monitor them throughout your shift, and document any changes thoroughly.
• Be a core member of an interdisciplinary team that includes providers, surgeons, and surgical techs.

This is at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, MO, a 585+ bed hospital with services like women's health, a trauma center, orthopedics, and a stroke center.

The schedule is self scheduling or preferential scheduling. It's posted four weeks out so you can plan ahead. There's also an on call requirement during select non business hours.

What You Need to Bring

• A Registered Nurse Diploma and an active RN license are required.
• You must obtain Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of starting.
