Med/Surg RN

We're offering a $10,000 sign on bonus for experienced RNs. This is for eligible candidates and can't be combined with other bonuses or existing HCA loans and scholarships.

What you'll do

You'll deliver high quality, patient centered care that meets both department requirements and state practice standards. You're collaborating with providers and the care team to give personalized, compassionate care using models like "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage." Think of yourself as an advocate for patients and their families.

• Assess each patient's condition on admission and every shift; you're the one who spots changes in status and reports them.
• Perform procedures and monitoring as ordered by medical providers.
• Your documentation in the patient's record needs to be thorough and timely.
• Administer medications, monitor for therapeutic response, and take action if there's an unintended reaction.
• A big part of this is responding to patient requests quickly. You're anticipating their needs before they have to ask.
• You'll educate patients, families, and caregivers about conditions, treatment plans, meds, side effects, and follow up. Your job is to make complex medical info understandable.

What you need to have

• A Registered Nurse Diploma.
• A current Registered Nurse license.
• You must obtain Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within your first 30 days of employment.
• No travel is required for this role.
• No prior experience is required; we welcome new grads.

Research Psychiatric Center is also part of the campus; it's a 95+ bed facility offering acute inpatient, day treatment, and community based psychiatric care.
