LPN

We need an LPN for our Cardiovascular Clinic in Kansas City, MO. It's a full time day shift position, Monday through Friday. You can choose your schedule: either four 10 hour days from 7 AM to 5:30 PM, or five standard days from 8:30 AM to 5 PM.

What you'll do

The work is varied and hands on. You'll provide direct nursing care following our established practices.

• Screen walk in patients and handle phone screenings using set protocols.
• Educate patients on medications and injections.
• Assist physicians with procedures in the clinic.
• Your clinical tasks will include cleaning wounds, changing dressings, suctioning, inserting catheters, and providing tracheostomy care.
• You'll also perform biopsies and diabetic nail care.
• Delegating appropriate tasks to unlicensed assistive personnel is part of the role, making sure it fits their scope of practice.
• Sometimes you'll cover Medical Assistant duties when needed.

This job is based at our Plaza location but you should expect to float to other offices like Saint Luke's East, North, and South as necessary. After your first year, there's a potential for a hybrid work arrangement.

What we need from you

A few things are non negotiable for this role. We need someone who can work well with a team but also handle things independently when required. A professional demeanor and top notch customer service are essential every day.

• You must have dual LPN licensure for both Missouri and Kansas. If you don't have both at the time of an offer, you'll get a contingent offer with the requirement to obtain the second license within 90 days of your start date.
• A current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross is required.

Applicable nursing experience of less than one year is listed for this position.
