Home Health LPN – Part Time, Flexible Schedule

Addus Homecare is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse for part time home care visits in the Kansas City, MO area. This isn't a full time gig with rigid hours ; you self schedule your week, Monday through Friday, and there's no weekend or on call work.

Pay lands between $33.00 and $34.00 per hour. You'll get paid mileage for travel between clients, plus a daily pay option if you need cash sooner. Benefits include a company matched 401K and an overall package that respects the fact you're juggling life.

What You’ll Actually Do

• Set up medications and review them with clients during home visits
• Do skin assessments and general health evaluations
• Basic nail care (it matters more than people think)
• Educate clients and keep clear documentation of everything
• Routine supervisory visits for unskilled services ; follow up is key
• Keep client info confidential per HIPAA and Medicaid rules
• Follow all agency policies, procedures, and state regulations
• Other nursing duties as they pop up ; this role expands when services grow

The goal? Keep people independent in their own homes.

Who We’ll Hire

• A current LPN license in the state where you'll practice (from an accredited nursing school)
• New grads are welcome; we'll train you.
• No weight restrictions ; so lifting is not a barrier here
• A reliable car with valid driver's license and insurance, or access to public transit
• The ability to write neatly on paperwork so documentation is accurate and done on time
• Talking clearly with clients, families, and coworkers matters ; decent communication skills will do it
• Home care experience helps but isn't required.

The Schedule & Travel Area

Scheduling is yours to design within Monday through Friday. No weekends. No on call shifts. Service areas include Gladstone, Independence, Kansas City, Liberty, Plattsburg, Sibley ; basically the Kansas City, MO region around those towns.
