What This Role Is About

Green Hills Endoscopy Center is part of a national learning health system that's doing real things ; faster stroke response times, sepsis detection tech that beats the human eye, and a surgical recovery program that cuts opioid use and readmissions. We're looking for an Endoscopy RN in Kansas City, MO who wants to work in that kind of environment.

You'll use the nursing process to plan, execute, and evaluate care for surgical and GI patients during the intra operative period. That means overseeing instrument and equipment setup, coordinating the room as a circulator, and making sure transitions between procedures are smooth and efficient. You'll also take on scrub or circulating duties for patients of all ages. Your care continues until the patient is transferred to recovery.

What You'll Do Day to Day

• Know surgical and GI procedures inside out, and oversee the instrument and equipment setup
• Coordinate the room during a case as the circulator
• Make transitions between procedures efficient and effective
• Use preference cards and update them when needed

What You Need to Bring

• A Nursing Diploma
• At least 2 years of experience in an operating room setting; ambulatory surgery center experience is a plus
• An active RN license (or appropriate compact licensure)
• Valid BCLS certification at the time of employment ; online certifications won't count
• ACLS certification as required by the facility
• CNOR or SGNA certification is preferred but not required
