Alright, let's talk about this Charge RN role on the Progressive Care unit at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, MO. This isn't just another nursing job; it's a Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) position. You're the one who makes sure everything runs smoothly and that care stays high quality. You'll be right in the thick of it, coordinating with the whole team.

What you'll be doing

You're the central point for patient care on your shift. You'll partner with doctors, therapists, and other nurses to coordinate, evaluate, and deliver care that's centered on the patient. That means getting involved from start to finish; you'll assist with admissions and help manage discharges to make sure transitions are seamless.

A big part of this is being a resource for your team. You'll work with unit leadership and subject matter experts to find ways to improve patient outcomes and service. Think of yourself as a coach; you'll provide feedback and training to help your colleagues grow and stay engaged. Oh, and you'll also help out with putting together the staff schedule.

What you need to bring

  • You have to be a Registered Nurse (RN). A Registered Nurse Diploma is the baseline qualification we need.
  • Your Basic Cardiac Life Support certification has to be sorted within your first 30 days here.
  • Same goes for Advanced Cardiac Life Support; get that done within 30 days of starting.

The schedule & where you'll work

This is a full time position at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, MO. It's a major facility; over 585 beds; that handles everything from women's services and orthopedics to being a Level I Trauma Center and a Primary Stroke Center. You'll be part of HCA Healthcare, which runs ten hospitals in the Kansas City area.
