About This Role
What you'll be doing in the EP Lab
You'll work as the RN in our Electrophysiology Lab, where you'll circulate, scrub, and monitor procedures alongside the Cardiologist and the rest of the team. This isn't a one size fits all role; you'll handle a wide range of procedures.
- Pacemaker implants
- ICD implants
- Loop recorder implants
- Tilt table studies
- Electrophysiology studies and ablations for various cardiac arrhythmias
- Cardiac biopsies
- Right heart catheterizations
You'll function independently and own the nursing process in the EP Lab. That means coordinating care with the Multidisciplinary Team, delegating tasks the right way, and identifying hospital resources when you need them. You'll also serve as a clinical resource for new employees and show positive leadership ; whether it's formal or informal ; within the unit or department.
This job requires multi campus work. You'll rotate between Saint Luke's Hospital on the Plaza and Saint Luke's Hospital in Lee's Summit.
Schedule
Full time days, Monday through Friday. No holiday work. No weekend work.
What you'll need to bring
You need at least 1 year of applicable experience. You'll also need an Associate Degree in Nursing. Certifications required upfront: Advanced Cardiac Life Support from the American Heart Association or Red Cross, Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association or Red Cross, and an active Registered Nurse license.
