Tire Technician

Alright, let's talk about this Tire Technician spot we have open in Jacksonville, FL. It's a hands on job where you're the reason our rental cars are safe and ready to go. You'll be doing the essential maintenance that keeps everything running smoothly for customers.

The Work

Your main focus is preventive maintenance on our fleet. That means oil changes, checking and changing fluids, swapping out tires, doing tire rotations, and handling basic repairs. You follow set safety and quality procedures every time.

We've got a diverse mix of newer vehicles from all sorts of manufacturers. So you're not working on the same thing all day; you'll get exposure to different systems and tech. If you're newer to this, you might assist our senior techs. As your skills grow, there's room to take on more complex tasks. The bottom line is your work reduces vehicle downtime and makes sure customers get a reliable car.

What You Need to Bring

• A valid driver's license with a good record.
• Some mechanical know how. Maybe you've tinkered on cars or have prior maintenance experience.
• You don't mind the sounds and smells of a shop environment; it can get moderately loud.
• Comfort with basic computer stuff like typing and data entry.
• A schedule that can handle all shifts; we're open early and late.
• The physical side: you can lift 50 pounds, and you're on your feet most of the time with frequent bending, reaching, walking, sitting, and kneeling. You'll also be in and out of vehicles driving them around the lot.
• You need to be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• This isn't a remote gig. You'll be on site at our location in Jacksonville, FL.

Got six months of auto maintenance experience or finished an automotive tech school program? That's a definite plus for us.

The Details & Good Stuff

The pay starts at $21.00 an hour. There's also a retention bonus up to $3,500, and depending on your shift, a shift premium may apply. You get paid every other week (or weekly if you're in New York or Puerto Rico).
