This is a hands on role for roofers in Jacksonville, FL who take pride in their craft. You'll be working on residential and commercial properties, handling everything from shingle repairs to full tear offs and installations. Duties & Responsibilities

• Tear off old roofing materials. This means stripping shingles, underlayment, and flashing down to the deck. It's dirty work, but it has to be done right.
• Install new roofing systems. You'll lay underlayment, set shingles or metal panels, and flash around vents and chimneys. Precision matters here; a bad install means leaks later.
• Inspect and repair existing roofs. Spotting weak spots from weather damage or age. Some jobs are small patches; others require whole sections replaced.
• Work with hand tools and power equipment. Nail guns, roofing knives, pry bars; you need to know how to handle them without cutting corners or yourself.
• Keep the job site clean. Safety isn't just talk. You'll clear debris daily so nobody trips over loose nails or piled up shingles.

Requirements

• Experience: At least 1 year of hands on roofing work preferred, but will train someone with basic construction experience who's serious about learning this trade.
