About This Role
What you'll do
You're a Nuclear Medicine Technologist who knows PET/CT and Nuclear Medicine inside and out. You'll be handling diagnostic procedures, strictly following hospital policies and state and federal guidelines. Every day, you're assisting patients, working with physicians, and backing up your fellow technologists.
You need to be comfortable with all age groups ; from the very young to the very old. The math part matters too; you've got to calculate doses and apply routine formulas without breaking a sweat. And when the workload piles up, you'll work with the professional staff to keep things moving for everyone.
What you'll need
- An Associates Degree in Nuclear Medicine, or you've graduated from an approved nuclear medicine training program
- Less than one year of experience ; but you've got to be a graduate from an approved nuclear medicine program
- One to two years of experience is preferred, but we're open to candidates fresh out of the program
- Certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or registered as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT(N))
- Licensed by the State of Florida as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association
