Delivery Driver

Koch Foods·Jackson, MS

About This Role

What You'll Be Doing

This is a first shift driving role with real responsibility. You'll load and unload buggies and cases ; and you'll do it in a way that treats the product gently and carefully, because that matters here.

Before you hit the road, you perform a pre trip inspection and make sure your load is secure and safe. You check in with dispatchers regularly throughout the day. And you follow DOT rules, company policies, biosecurity protocols, FSMA guidelines, plus local, state, and federal laws. There are also other job related duties that come up, and you handle those too.

What You'll Need

  • A valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
  • Verifiable commercial driving experience
  • A clean driving record

The Physical Side of the Job

You'll be sitting and driving for up to 10 hours. That's the main thing. But you also need to climb in and out of the truck cab throughout your shift ; regularly, not just once. You'll work outside every day, rain or shine, cold or hot. Occasionally you'll lift over 50 pounds. And you'll be around raw, live animal odors; that's just part of the environment.

What You Get

Benefits eligibility varies, but here's what's available:

  • Paid time off
  • A 401k savings plan
  • Health insurance, dental insurance, and vision insurance
  • Short term and long term disability insurance
  • A free $25,000 life insurance policy ; with additional life insurance programs you can buy into
  • A company sponsored purchasing program

And there's more. On the job training is provided. You get a weekly paycheck. There are real promotional career opportunities. All necessary personal protection equipment is supplied. The company does cook outs, safety rewards, giveaways, and other stuff too. It's a family oriented company that offers a lot more than just a paycheck.
