About This Role
The Role
This is a Project/Program Manager role in Indianapolis, IN with a focus on telemedicine. You'll lead the implementation and ongoing management of telehealth and teleconsultation initiatives as part of the Rural Health Transformation Program. It's a full time hybrid position, and we can only consider candidates who don't need visa sponsorship now or in the future.
What You'll Actually Do
- Lead the implementation and daily management of telehealth and teleconsultation programs
- Keep program plans, timelines, budgets, and performance metrics on track to hit program goals
- Coordinate with internal teams (IT, legal, finance, RHTP initiative leads) and external partners (vendors, providers, regional coalitions, stakeholders)
- Manage vendor relationships ; contract oversight, tracking deliverables, performance management
- Oversee program governance, reporting, and documentation so everything aligns with organizational, state, and federal requirements
- Use data and stakeholder feedback to monitor program performance and lead continuous improvement
- Help build sustainability strategies, including funding models and operational integration
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement, communication, and change management activities tied to telehealth and teleconsultation work
- Prepare briefings, reports, and presentations for leadership, partners, and oversight bodies
- Make sure everything complies with applicable regulations, privacy, security, and quality standards for telehealth and teleconsultation
- Support other Rural Health Transformation activities as needed
What You Need
Required:
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited university in public health, health administration, informatics, information systems, or a related field
- 4+ years in program management, healthcare operations, public health, health IT, or a related field
- Demonstrated experience managing complex programs or projects with multiple stakeholders
- Strong project management, organizational, and analytical skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication ; you've presented to leadership and external stakeholders before
- Ability to manage budgets, timelines, and vendor relationships
- Comfortable with common productivity and project management tools like Microsoft O365, project management platforms, and collaboration tools
- Ability to work in a team environment with multiple and fluid demands
- Ability to maintain effective and professional working relationships with internal and external customers
Preferred:
- Familiarity with telemedicine, telehealth, healthcare delivery systems, or digital health initiatives
- A master's degree in public health, health administration, informatics, information systems, or a related field
Schedule and Pay
This is a full time hybrid role in Indianapolis, IN. The pay range is $50 to $54 per hour. Exact compensation depends on your location, experience, and education. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, plus access to a 401k retirement account. You'll also get paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as required by law.
Physical Demands
You need to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with ADA and other standards. That means conducting repetitive tasks on a computer (mouse, keyboard, monitor), communicating with customers and team members over the phone and in person, and sitting or staying stationary most of the time with occasional movement around the office for meetings.
