This is a full time, day shift MRI Tech position in Indianapolis, IN. You'll be working at Ascension Saint Thomas West.

What you'll do here

You're the one who makes the scan happen. That means running high resolution diagnostic scans by getting patients positioned just right and dialing in the exact technical parameters to get the cross sectional images doctors need.

A big part of the job is working with people. You'll empower patients by walking them through the process, doing pre screening, and making sure they feel informed and safe before their exam.

Once you have the images, your work isn't done. You manage the diagnostic data from entry all the way through to sending it to PACS so the medical team gets what they need, fast.

And you keep things running. That means monitoring equipment and sticking to strict safety standards so patient care isn't interrupted.

The basics we need you to have

• Certifications are required. You must have a BLS Provider certification from either the American Heart Association or American Red Cross. You need to get this within 1 month (30 days) of starting.
• You also need one or more of these credentials, obtained before your hire or transfer date:
  • Cardiographic Tech credential from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
  • Nuclear Medical Tech credential from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
  • Radiologic Technologist credential from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Medical Sonographer credential from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
  • Technologist specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging credential from the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT)
• For education and experience: A High School diploma equivalency plus 2 years of cumulative experience; OR an Associate's degree or Technical degree; OR 4 years of applicable, cumulative job specific experience.
