What You'll Actually Do
- Provide oral hygiene services like prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, polishing, restorations, and applying preventive agents (fluoride and sealants)
- Chart patient dental history accurately and update it as needed
- Record periodontal health, document provided treatment
- Handle patient records securely under HIPAA regulations
- Assist the dentist as directed
- Administer local anesthetics if your state's dental practice act allows it
Compensation That Matches Your Skill
- A competitive hourly base rate
- 30% of net production when production exceeds your base ; no cap on earnings
- Additional product commissions
- A sign on bonus (it depends on location)
- A full benefits package: medical, dental, vision insurance plus PTO and paid holidays
The production model works like this: if you're providing thorough care ; perio diagnosis, appropriate radiographs, preventive services ; the numbers follow naturally. And there's no penalty if production doesn't exceed your base pay.
The Support Model Here Is Different
You won't be rushed. We use a structured team based approach where you focus on what matters: assessment, scaling, diagnosis, and patient education.
- A dedicated hygiene assistant assigned to you for every shift
- They handle x rays, room turnover, instrument processing, polishing, and fluoride application
- Standard one hour appointments for most procedures
- Extended time for periodontal procedures when needed
