Job Overview

This is a hands on role in Huntsville, AL where you'll handle the physical side of getting products out the door. Warehouse Workers ensure inventory is organized, orders are accurate, and shipments move efficiently. It's straightforward but important work; think loading and unloading trucks, picking items from shelves, packing boxes for delivery, and keeping the workspace tidy. The environment is industrial and active; you're on your feet most of the day, moving between tasks.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Receive incoming stock. You'll unload deliveries by truck or container, check items against packing lists, and move them to storage areas using hand trucks or pallet jacks.
• Pick customer orders. Pull products from inventory based on order sheets or scanner instructions. Speed matters but accuracy matters more; wrong items mean more work later.
• Pack shipments securely. Box up goods so they survive transit without damage. Tape, label, and stack completed orders on pallets for loading.
• Load outbound trucks. Arrange pallets in delivery trucks for efficient weight distribution and to prevent shifting during transport. Some wrapping of loads with stretch film is typical.
• Maintain cleanliness. Sweep aisles, break down empty cardboard boxes, sort recycling, and report any safety hazards like spills or broken equipment right away.
• Conduct cycle counts. Periodically count sections of inventory to verify system numbers match what's actually on the shelf. Discrepancies get flagged for review.

Requirements

• Physical stamina: This job involves lifting up to 50 pounds regularly; sometimes heavier with assistance or equipment. Expect frequent bending, reaching above shoulders (stocking high racks), walking long distances on concrete floors (10+ miles per shift isn't unusual), and standing for full hours at a time without sitting breaks.
• Clerical basic math: Counting quantities correctly under time pressure matters. Simple addition/subtraction when adjusting counts between bins is common daily work.
