We're looking for a Registered Nurse to join our team in Huntsville, AL. This is a full time day shift position. You'd be working in a hospital setting, focusing on clinical oversight and direct patient care.

What you'd do

The work is varied and hands on. It's about making sure patients get the right care and that everything runs smoothly.

• You'll manage the day to day clinical operations of the hospital.
• A big part of your role involves working directly with patients in a therapeutic environment.
• Carrying out physician orders is central to the work; you'll also complete comprehensive nursing assessments and initiate treatment plans.
• You'll administer medications, including IVs, and perform venipuncture as allowed by state law.
• Providing education to patients and their families is key. That covers medication details, disorder needs, benefits, side effects, disease prevention, and basic living skills.
• Clinical documentation is a major responsibility. You need to keep medical charts organized, clear, complete, current, and legible. This includes filing records properly so they're easy to retrieve.
• You'll supervise other nursing staff. That means making patient care assignments, evaluating their clinical activities, reviewing schedules, and adjusting for absences.
• Observing patients for signs, symptoms, and progress in therapy is part of every shift. You identify changes that need attention or notification of other professional staff.
• Ensuring a safe, therapeutic, and sanitized environment for everyone is non negotiable.
• You'll handle tasks like completing psychiatric metric measures and ensuring informed consents are properly executed.

A few things are required to step into this role effectively.

• You must be a licensed Registered Nurse (RN).
• The ability to administer medications and IVs as authorized by state laws is essential.
• A strong understanding of compliance is crucial. You'll adhere to policies on patient rights (including anonymity/confidentiality), abuse/neglect reporting, seclusion/restraint protocols, infection control standards (following CDC guidelines),
