About This Role
What You'll Be Doing
This is a physical job that keeps you moving. You'll load roofing materials onto trucks at the branch, then ride along with the driver to job sites around Huntsville, AL. Once there, you unload those materials and get them up onto rooftops using a conveyor system. You'll work on both residential homes and commercial buildings.
Every day looks a little different, but here are the main things you'll do:
- Load and unload roofing materials from delivery trucks using your hands and mechanical equipment, handling everything carefully to avoid damage.
- Follow safety guidelines at all times, help set up scaffolding and other structures, inspect equipment, and report any issues you spot.
- Distribute materials onto flat and sloped roofs in a safe way that protects workers and property.
- Operate conveyor belt systems to move building materials from flatbed trucks up to rooftops, keeping materials flowing so projects stay on schedule.
- Verify material orders to make sure the right quantities get loaded and delivered, and keep clear documentation of inventory movements.
- Provide solid service to roofing contractors, answering their questions and handling material requests professionally.
- Follow OSHA rules and company protocols, including wearing all required PPE, to keep job sites safe.
- Work closely with drivers and other team members to coordinate loading and unloading, plus support branch operations and customer service tasks as they come up.
- Help inspect delivery sites for hazards and assist drivers in backing up or maneuvering in tight spaces.
Where and When You'll Work

The work is outdoors and on rooftops, so you'll be in whatever weather comes that day. Expect early start times, Monday through Friday. There's potential for occasional overtime or weekend shifts when delivery schedules demand it. Less than 10% of the time, you might travel overnight to help at nearby branches or support storm relief efforts, always with advance notice.
