Assembler

LeidosยทHuntsville, AL

About This Role

Alright, let's talk about the actual job.

What you'd be doing

You'll be assembling hardware. That means building electrical chassis, putting together cables, and working on printed circuit board assemblies. It's hands on electro mechanical work.

You're using tools like torque drivers, crimpers, and wire strippers every day. You need to know how to use them correctly. A big part of this is reading mechanical drawings and following the assembly instructions step by step.

Sometimes build issues come up. When they do, you'll work with design engineers, manufacturing engineers, and other technicians to figure out a solution. This isn't a solo gig; you're interacting with different project teams and production groups all the time.

The basics you need

  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • You should have less than 2 to 4 years of prior relevant work experience.
  • You need a working knowledge of the specialized tools and equipment used for electrical mechanical assembly.
  • The ability to read drawings and follow written work instructions is essential.
  • This role requires U.S. citizenship. You must either possess an active Secret security clearance or meet the eligibility requirements to obtain one (and maintain it).

It'd be great if you had

  • A current or prior IPC/WHMA A-620 certification.
  • A current or prior J STD 001 certification.
