The Role

We need a Senior Specialist for training delivery in Houston, TX. This isn't a desk only job. You'll be deep in the technical side of things ; developing training programs for HVAC/R technicians at all levels.

What You'll Do

  • Deliver training programs for HVAC/R technicians covering everything from entry level skills up to advanced topics like CO2 refrigeration systems, HVAC control systems (that includes Building Management Systems and Direct Digital Controls), plus energy efficient practices.
  • Provide subject matter expert input when creating or updating training materials ; manuals, presentations, e learning content ; making sure everything lines up with current industry standards and codes. Your materials will dig into system diagnostics, CO2 systems operation and maintenance technology.
  • Run hands on training sessions where you cover installation maintenance troubleshooting and repair of various HVAC/R systems with focus on CO2 refrigeration heat pumps VRF Variable Refrigerant Flow systems plus smart controls integration.
  • Figure out whether your training actually works by using knowledge assessments practical evaluations feedback loops performance metrics then refine everything based on what you learn.
  • Keep up with emerging tech natural refrigerants (CO2 ammonia) advanced control strategies IoT enabled controls smart thermostats new regulations that affect how people work.
  • Mentor trainers and technicians directly aiming to build real culture around continuous improvement technical excellence among the crew.
  • Work alongside management field staff external partners to nail down what specific training needs exist ; especially around advanced diagnostics CO2 systems control platforms ; then tailor programs accordingly.
  • Take care of the training facility make sure all gear is good condition including CO2 racks variable frequency drives smart controllers so sessions run smoothly without equipment failures getting in way.
  • Safeguard compliance across every single activity following safety standards environmental rules industry certifications particularly when handling CO2 systems other natural refrigerants.
  • Tackle other duties as they come up because that's how real teams operate.

What You Need

  • A bachelor's degree in HVAC/R Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering or something related or equivalent experience straight from working in the field instead of the classroom.
