Sales Manager – Ready Mix Concrete

This is a sales management role with Heidelberg Materials Southwest Agg LLC in Houston, TX. The company is one of the largest building materials suppliers in the world, operating over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with about 9,000 employees.

What you’ll be doing

You'll lead and execute the ready mix concrete sales strategy. The goal is profitable growth and market share gains. Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, key accounts, and internal partners is a big part of it.

  • Coach, develop, and support the sales team so they hit performance goals and execute consistently.
  • Work cross functionally to align pricing, production, delivery, and customer expectations.
  • Analyze market trends, sales performance, and what competitors are doing so you can make informed decisions.

What we’re looking for

A background in ready mix concrete or construction/building materials is preferred. You need a demonstrated ability to lead, influence, and develop high performing sales teams.

  • Strong business and financial acumen, plus a customer focused and results driven approach.
  • Proven capability to manage pricing, margins, and sales performance in a competitive market.
  • Effective communication and relationship building skills across diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field ; or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.

Work environment

This role operates in a mix of office, plant, and customer jobsite settings. You'll regularly collaborate with sales, operations, and leadership teams. Local travel is required to support customers and business needs.
