Physical Therapist

About This Role

Alright, let's cut to the chase. I'm looking for a Physical Therapist to join the crew at North Kansas City Hospital's 48 bed Acute Rehab Unit on a PRN basis. This isn't your typical full time gig; it's for weekends and holidays, when we really need the help. You pick your shift in advance: either 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM or 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

What you'll be doing

You're the expert here. You'll evaluate patients, develop their treatment plans, and work with them day by day to make progress. A big part of this is teaching; you'll instruct nursing staff and patient families on follow through programs so the work continues even when you're not there.

  • Communicate patient progress or any issues to your supervisor and the care team.
  • Your documentation needs to meet all regulatory, licensing, payer, and accrediting requirements.
  • Handle daily tasks like assisting with patient scheduling and posting charges to records.
  • Keep your equipment and work area safe and clean.
  • You're expected to handle all job responsibilities in line with our Code of Business Conduct, Corporate Compliance Agreement, professional standards, and state/federal laws.

What you need to bring

The non negotiables first. You must have a degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program and a current, unrestricted PT license for the state where you'll be working. We also need you to have a current CPR certification.

The unit is fast paced but fun, with over 25 full time therapists on the team. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential to keep up and collaborate effectively in that environment.

The deal

This is a PRN position for weekend and holiday shifts in Houston, TX. The schedule is yours to choose from the options above, as long as you lock it in ahead of time.

Beyond the base pay for your shifts, there are some longer term benefits available even for PRN staff who qualify.

  • Financial support for higher education and certification through tuition assistance.
  • Loan assistance programs are available.
  • A 401(k) retirement package that includes a company match.
  • Access to wellness programs covering mental, physical, and financial health. This includes things like free gym memberships, virtual care appointments, mental health services, and discount programs.
  • Opportunities for ongoing professional development and career advancement.

Ready?

If you're a licensed PT who wants to put your skills to work where they matter on weekends and holidays, let's talk. Apply directly through our platform for this position at North Kansas City Hospital in Houston, TX.
