MRI Technologist

What you'd be doing

The work is a mix of technical skill and direct patient care. You'll handle all the required documentation for each exam, including scheduling notes, physician orders, consents, and charges.

  • Transporting patients to and from their rooms and the ER is part of the job.
  • You'll monitor your equipment to ensure it's mechanically safe.
  • A big part of your day is explaining procedures clearly to patients to ease their anxiety and get their cooperation.
  • Positioning patients correctly on the table and adjusting any devices to get the images the physician needs is central to the role.
  • It’s about meeting the broader needs of the Diagnostic Imaging Department as a whole.

What you need to bring

The qualifications are pretty specific here. They aren't just nice to haves.

  • You must be a graduate of an accredited MRI program.
  • You need to hold either ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification.
  • An American Heart Association BLS certification is also required.

The schedule & pay

This is a full time position. We can discuss the specific schedule details during an interview. The pay range for this role is $30.45 - $45.67 per hour, which is based on a number of factors unique to each candidate.
