Gentle Dental is hiring a Dental Assistant in Honolulu, HI. We provide oral healthcare to help people live better, healthier lives. It's work that matters, and we need someone who actually cares about the patients walking through the door.

What you'll be doing

Assisting the dentist during procedures to keep things moving smoothly.
Preparing treatment rooms and making sure all instruments are sterile and ready.
Taking X rays when needed and processing them correctly.
Educating patients on their oral health and home care routines.
Working with the front office team to keep scheduling on track.
Following all infection control protocols without cutting corners.

What you need to have

A certificate from a Dental Assisting Program.
A board approved 8 hour infection control course completion certificate.
A valid healthcare provider CPR/BLS certificate.

Stuff that can bump up your starting pay

Experience as an EFDA (Expanded Functions Dental Assistant).
A current X Ray Certification.
A Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) credential, if it applies in this state.
The ability to speak Spanish fluently (bilingual).

Education requirements

Required: High school diploma or equivalent education level. More education can help but is not strictly necessary for this role beyond what we listed above.

The schedule and benefits you'll get

Schedule: Full Time hours at our Washington office located at 10300 SE Washington St. Suite C101 in Portland, OR 97216, USA.
