Job Overview
This VP of HR role is for a leader who shapes the entire people strategy. You'll guide everything from talent acquisition and development to employee relations and compliance, acting as the bridge between executive vision and workforce reality. Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the strategic HR roadmap that aligns with broader business objectives.
- Oversee talent management cycles, including recruitment, performance reviews, succession planning, and leadership development programs.
- Lead compensation, benefits, and equity analysis to ensure market competitiveness and internal fairness.
- Manage complex employee relations issues and ensure policies meet all federal, state, and local compliance standards.
- Analyze HR metrics to provide data driven insights on turnover, engagement, and diversity to the executive team.
- Direct the HR team's operations, fostering their professional growth and ensuring efficient service delivery.
Requirements
- A minimum of 10 years in progressive HR leadership, with at least 5 years at a director level or above.
- Expert knowledge of employment law (FMLA, ADA, FLSA) and experience managing compliance audits.
- Proven skill in building out scalable HR systems; experience with platforms like Workday or SAP SuccessFactors is a plus.
- SHRM SCP or SPHR certification is strongly preferred.
- The role involves navigating high stakes conversations and reviewing detailed legal documents; it requires sustained mental focus and resilience under pressure.
