Registered Nurse

About This Role

Hey there. I've been placing travel nurses for over a decade, and I know a solid EP Lab specialist when I see one. If you're the kind of nurse who thrives in the precise, high stakes world of electrophysiology, this 13 week assignment in Hartford, CT might be your next great move.

The Work

You'd be working directly with electrophysiologists on the full spectrum of cardiac care. Think arrhythmia ablations, pacemaker and defibrillator implants, and managing medication based treatments for conditions like heart failure and coronary artery disease.

Your shift is built around the patient and the procedure. It starts with your assessment and education, making sure patients and families truly understand what's happening. Then you're in the lab, assisting with studies and implants, administering conscious sedation, and monitoring every heartbeat and pressure reading. You're watching for changes, troubleshooting equipment, and maintaining that critical sterile field. Afterward, you're ensuring a stable recovery. It's a role where your focus directly shapes patient outcomes.

What You Need to Bring

  • A current RN license that meets state regulations.
  • At least one year of recent experience specifically in an Electrophysiology Lab.
  • Your AHA or ARC BLS certification; it has to be current.
  • Your current ACLS certification is non negotiable.
  • The physical capacity for this job: you'll be moving, pushing, pulling, and bending. You need to handle equipment weighing between 50 and 100 pounds.
  • Sharp critical thinking skills and the professionalism to work seamlessly with a whole team of docs, techs, and staff.

A couple things that would make your application stand out? Having your PALS or ENPC certification, or being RCES/RCIS certified is a big plus.

The Details & The Support

This is a 13 week travel contract. Fusion handles the details so you can focus on the work. They offer highly competitive pay for travel professionals; you'll know exactly what you're getting.

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance start on your very first day.
  • You'll accrue Paid Time Off after 1560 hours of work.
  • There's life insurance and short term disability coverage offered.
  • The company provides a 401(k) match.
  • Need to renew a license or take a CEU? They reimburse for that.
  • Their Refer a-friend bonus program is seriously aggressive (in a good way).

And you're not just a number here. You get 24/7 support from your recruiter and their clinical team. They even offer $0 copay for mental health services through their insurance plan. The motto is simple: you take care of others; they take care of you.
