The Work

You'll handle the full range of plumbing tasks; inspections, upkeep, repairs. Think troubleshooting issues, doing routine fixes like unclogging fixtures or stopping leaks, and completing both preventive and reactive maintenance work.

• Installing, repairing, and maintaining pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures.
• Working on water, air steam, and sewage systems plant wide; that includes maintenance, repairs, and new installations.
• Responding to and resolving plumbing emergencies when they come up.
• A big part of the job is keeping mechanical areas clean and organized. Housekeeping in those spaces is your responsibility.
• Routine inspections of plumbing and drainage systems are part of the deal.

This isn't just about wrenches. You need a general understanding of mechanical systems, basic electrical concepts, painting for touch ups in mechanical spaces… it’s a broad skill set for a focused location.

What You Need to Bring

• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• You must have either a P1 or P2 Plumbing Certification.
• We're looking for 3 to 5 years of combined plumbing and pipe fitting experience in a commercial or industrial setting.
• Familiarity with Standard Gas Codes, Plumbing Codes, and Standard Building Codes is necessary.
• The ability to read diagrams, blueprints, sketches, and repair manuals is essential.

A Few Important Realities

This job involves working at height. You've got to be comfortable with that; tasks might keep you up there for a while. Climbing ladders of various types is regular and critical. And you need to be proficient operating different lifts: scissor lifts, boom lifts… whatever gets the job done safely.
