MRI Technologist – Hartford Hospital
This is a hands on MRI Technologist role at Hartford Hospital in Hartford, CT. You'll be working inside a busy Level 1 Trauma Center where the MRI department runs 24/7 on three GE High Field Scanners. It's a fast environment (not the "fast paced" kind ; actually busy, actually trauma level work) and you'll be part of a team that supports some of the most advanced care in New England.
The schedule here is three 12 hour shifts from 11:00 AM to 11:30 PM, with rotating every third weekend and holidays. There's a $20,000 signing bonus for new hires.
What you'll actually do
- Perform MRI exams by selecting the right software parameters per established protocols to help the referring physician make a diagnosis
- Prepare and position patients for their scans
- Inject patients with contrast media when needed
- Select anatomic and technical parameters accurately to produce cross sectional images of the body
What you need to bring
- A graduate of an accredited Radiography program (ARRT) OR a graduate from the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT) with an Associate Degree focused in medical imaging ; MRI preferred
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
